So, who are the players that you are targeting this week in FanDuel? You want to start all great players, but cannot because of the salary cap? This column is for you. Here we will list a few players at each position that we consider “Bargain Buys.” So, what defines a GM Fantasy Pros Bargain Buy? We consider a bargain buy a player that has a great opportunity to perform at a higher level than what their salary cap reflects. That being said, we won’t be covering the top players at each position. The players listed below should help fill in around some of the stars. Let’s get started on FanDuel Week 10 Bargain Buys!
- Matt Ryan (ATL)- $7800
- Colin Kaepernick – (SF) – $7500
- Mark Sanchez – (PHI) – $6600
Tampa is allowing 285 yards per game through the air which is a ton! The last time that the Falcons played against the Bucs, it was a shoot out! $7800 is way too low of a price for Ryan. This is a great match-up, and he should put up some good numbers.
Colin has been unimpressive in his last 2 match-ups. This week he will need to keep up with Brees and the Saints offense. He should also add some yards on the ground. This is an important game on the road that the 49ers need to win.
I have never really been a fan of “Mr. Butt Fumble.” Having said that however, his price tag is low and the Eagles have a ton of weapons. They will certainly give him every opportunity to succeed. He is worth the risk.
- Denard Robinson (JAX) – $6800
- Bobby Rainey (TB) – $6700
- Steven Jackson (ATL) – $6300
For anyone that hasn’t noticed, Denard Robinson has been on fire the last 3 weeks. He is getting around 20 carries per game, and Dallas is giving up over 100 yards per game on the ground. Robinson is one of the few bright spots right now for the Jags, and I would expect him to continue to get the rock.
Rainey is the primary ball carrier (for now) and the game against Atlanta looks like a game that will lack defense. He should get plenty of work and would expect him to be an above average play.
As for Steven Jackson, see the same thing that I said above for Rainey. He is worth the risk in a game that should be a track meet. Both of these DST’s are terrible and I would think that we could see a pretty crazy game.
- Julio Jones (ATL) – $8000
- Mike Evans (TB) – $6600
- Martavis Bryant (PIT) – $6100
- Kenny Britt (STL) – $5500
Just a quick note on Julio here. I don’t typically highlight players of his caliber, but at $8000 I need to say that with his matchup against the Bucs, that he is waaaaaaaay to cheap! Get him!
Atlanta’s DST is nearly as bad as the Buccaneers. Evans has emerged as the #1 option ahead of Vincent Jackson. He is finally starting to get some credit as he has moved up to $6600. He should still be higher. Start him with confidence.
Martavis has been awesome over the last 3 weeks and Big Ben has been on fire. Sure they could both cool a bit, but let’s be honest….. These are the NY Jets. They have been an accident waiting to happen. At $6100, he is a lot better than others around that price range.
Arizona is giving up the most yards in the air of any team in the league right now. Britt has assumed the top WR role. On the other side, Palmer should put up his share of points. Davis will need to do the same, and I would think he would look to Kenny to make that happen.
- Mychal Rivera (OAK) – $5700
- Owen Daniels (BAL) – $5400
- Zack Ertz (PHI) – $5100
Rivera is someone who hasn’t come along until recently, and he has been relatively unknown. The reality however is this: He has 15 receptions in the last 2 games and will be playing against a Broncos DST that plays with a lead nearly all of the time. In addition to that, Denver is giving up over 250 yards per game through the air.
I’m not a huge fan of the match-up for Daniels, but he gets the targets and the receptions. With focus now on Steve Smith, it opens up Daniels down the seam. He is also a great red zone target. Great price at $5400.
Ertz is someone who could benefit now that Sanchez will be under center. Even as bad as Sanchez was with the Jets, he still was able to help his TE’s be someone fantasy relevant. If he relies on Ertz in that same fashion, it could pay dividends on prime time.
Kicker Quick Picks
- Cody Parkey (PHI) – $5000
- Mason Crosby (GB) – $4800
- Matt Bryant (ATL) – $4500
Defense/ST Quick Picks
- Arizona Cardinals – $5100
- Pittsburgh Steelers – $5000
- Atlanta Falcons – $4500
